Grammy Glamour

We all saw the Grammy’s for two reasons. Firstly of course the outstanding music and talent from across the globe. Secondly for the stunning gowns that have blatently been kept away and tweaked to perfection for each of the fantastic performers.

We thought, as always, Adele looked absolutely gorgeous in her black gowns, especially her mesh topped gown featuring large polka dots. Subtle, sexy and showing off her fabulous curves.

Taylor Swift looked ever the lady in her floor length golden gown decorated with greek style print and gorgeous sparkling embellishment.

Jessie J shone like the star she is in her silvered gown and Rihanna’s heart stopping racy plunge neck and high cut black number, just managed to cover all the right places.

We felt so jealous of these gorgeous girls that we decided to take a look at what glamourous dresses we could find at a fraction of the price.

After all, we don’t need an award ceremony to dress up, us girls look fabulous every day of the week!

Love is in the air, and we can’t wait to get spruced up, stylish and sexy, but what to wear?

Well of course the little black dress is always a good option. Classic and sexy, black is a forgiving colour. Plus if you’re still carrying around some Christmas weight it’s easily hidden and there are so many styles there is always a LBD for everyone. You can always be darling and style it up with this season’s favourite yellow stilettos.

Feeling the pastel/candy trend this season? Why not go sugar and spice and think pink for this Valentines. Think glamour, Marylin Monroe and a sexy string of diamonds around your neck. Stuck on how to dress your pins? Well why not recycle those sparkly party shoes you got at Christmas?

Feeling really brave? Why not go ultimately sexy and conquer the little red dress! The LRD has quickly become a sister to the LBD, not always suited by all, be careful not to be washed out by the colour. Pair with a sexy pair of black stilettos and your ready to smoulder.

So whether your single or taken, look a million dollars this Valentines.

Out Of Africa

We’re going native this season and showing our wild side with ‘Out of Africa Prints’.

Both tribal and animal prints are working their way down the catwalk and shimmying their way onto the shelves. Everything from Zebra, leopard and abstract linear designs are splattered across designers and high street garments alike.

Raffia accessories and that home made craft works perfectly with the sleek garments giving them an edgier look thow in some bright beadwork, fringing and crochet knits and you have a super cool, hand-crafted vibe.

They have even jazzed up sports wear printing up techno sheen fabrics but we think maybe stick with the dresses for now until we’re a bit braver.

Ice-Cream Dream

Sugar and spice and all things nice, that’s what’s in this season. We know that it seems like only a few months ago that ice cream and candy floss colours were in but we cant help but ‘aww’ at the sorbet sweetness of these delicious pieces.

After all we know that yellow has been pretty big over the winter and will carry on so through the spring. Baby blue is always fresh and looks super cute paired with an on trend white shirt and contrasting lemon jumper.

When going neutral pick similar shades from top to toe and layer up for a sophisticated look.

Picking treats for your tootsies couldn’t be simpler, try wearing a nice pair of ice – cream flats for the day and grabbing a similar shade in heels to make a night time transformation.

Don’t be afraid to mix and match colours and play with a few shades, once you get your look down you’ll be good enough to eat.

We all had a secret love in the 90′s whether it was the distressed band t-shirt, the denim hot pants, the baggy hole riddled jumper or the bra style crop top. Well now we can dig those little gems out from the bottom of the closet and wear them with pride. Yes ladies the 90′s grunge scene is back so ladder those tights, scuff those boots and find that comfortable hoody you always hide.

Don’t forget to smudge that eyeliner too. Get that smokey look down to a ‘T’ and make sure to define your eyes. The lips are a dark red of course or if you want a little contrast try a pale nude. Rock on ladies.

Trash Couture and Neon Lure

Prints, neons and trash couture styling are making a lot of noise this spring.

Big flashy prints (think Versace meets the 80′s) and Neon statement pieces have crashed through the dull of Winter and violated our senses.

It’s time to inject a bit of life into our wardrobes again with the return of the neon blazer. A staple for this Spring, it’s great paired with a bright yet contrasting pair of coloured jeans go monochrome with the top though to tie it all together.

Mass patterns of chains, florals and organic shapes are covering the surfaces of the fashion world. Again go for contrasting prints, play mix and match.

Gold jewellery is once again glistening in the sun and mixing with some neon enamel bangles and rings is definitely the way to go. Remember to stack those bangles high.

Shoes go crazy this season with spikes, crazy colours and elevating heels. You will literally be walking on air so bring on the spring!
