The peplum is a huge up and coming trend which is set to stick out and stick around well into 2012.

The peplum can be worn by any shape or size. If you have a few lbs to donate then the peplum hides a multitude of sins. If you need to add some curves, then the peplum will do that too. We think that this is going to be a serious winner for Christmas day after a massive dinner (to hide the sudden tummy growth).

But back to fashion.

There are so many fabulous looking dresses out at the moment with peplum detail we are seriously spoilt for choice. The sweet and simple Kate Middleton esq. style are perfect for evenings out. But of course pair the peplum with a cut out shape and you have something that Cheryl Cole would love to be seen in.

Of course we must not forget the gorgeous little peplumed jacket a perfect match with the pencil skirt and some sexy pumps for the office.

Finally if you want to walk on the wild side you could always pair a leather peplumed mini skirt with one of this season’s metallic soft line silhouette tops for an seriously edgy look.

So this season the peplum is definitely the trend to invest in.
